Spanish Inquisition #1
March 12th, 2009
Alright, the first page of the non-superhero comic strip, Spanish Inquisition, is up and running. I’d like to thank Frank and Chris for agreeing to work on this project with me even though they’re busy with their own comic epic, Sparks. Stay tuned for more to come.

Ha – this is terrific. I really look forward to more. Love the art style and the color pallette – and it’s too funny to see Worf popping up onscreen and being called a ‘demon.’ This is a great idea for a series, and I love the title.
Nice illustration. Maybe it’s extra funny because I can imagine that taking place, but you’re off to a good start.
Keep it up!
Oh my gosh, Alex how cool. Your own comic strip! lol It’s well illistrated.
I can’t wait to see the whole thing. When there’s more, i’ll share it with my friends.
Keep us posted on the updates.

It is different from what I am used to seeing from you guys but I think it really kool and just as funny I can’t wait to read more…and yes Alex “you need Jesus in your Heart”.
Thanks for all the comments, guys. Yeah, this is actually a scene that played out when I was a kid.
Another Alex comic, hehe. Based solely on the first page, one can see it containing Alex’s hispanic wit and the mix of the comedic with the mundane, almost one and the same. With its nostalgic feel and dual-tone color scheme, one feels the comic is unaltered and that’s what makes it real and hit home for your audience. Good work Alex. And Frank and Chris, I like the juxtaposition of the cartooney with the real. Well done.
Heh, thanks for that in depth analysis of my “hispanic wit”, Ronny.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I had a blast colouring the comic in this style – I’m really looking forward to doing more.

Ah, this brings back memories… except in my case, the demon was Piccolo from DBZ, lol. Great job xD
